What a busy weekend.. and Monday and Tuesday
Finished most of the Christmas display, the weather cooperated for the most part. Was windy and -2 to -8 C. I really need a good pair of winter boots, not that I mind the plastic bags, but it is time lol.
Had bought a large pork loin, on sale for 3.90 a kg. total price was $20.92. After trimming, I now have 30 pork chops, at .70 cents each. That will keep us for a while.
Monday nite we went to a Hospice Society presentation. It was very informative and the speaker was wonderful. He talked about grief and loss is the most honest way. It did my heart good. I have been struggling with a loss for the past several months, my best friend of 38 years died in May. It was nice to hear what I have have been feeling and thinking are "normal", sometimes I feel I am going off the deep end.
I was to take some baking to the event, but knowing that I would not have the time to make from scratch I picked up some loaves. You know what? They were a big hit.
I needed to get some blood work done on Tuesday morning, I was all prepared and made sure to fast the nite before....turns out I did not need to, could have had a coffee at least lol. I am grateful to have a Hospital so close to us in the neighboring town, so easy for routine blood work, no appointment needed. Just register at the Admitting desk, walk to the lab, and in and out in less than 5 mins.
Yesterday was all about playing catch up, Hubby went back to work after having the weekend and Monday & Tuesday off. Just the usual housework, floors bathrooms and kitchen. I need a maid or a less hairy dog that does not leave tumble weeds of hair all over the house.
Until next time....
Happy Hunting!!!
