Snow

Just started snowing here again. We warmed up to -19 C the other day, so that is something.
So happy that I am able to stay inside warm and cozy.

The Auction is tomorrow, it will be a long one with about 600 lots total. I plan to stay home and watch it online. I will do a post of what sold in the next couple of weeks.

I have been gathering all my jewelry and sorting, cleaning and repairing where needed.
I bought this form last summer at auction to display some of my brooches. Looks like I need more to fill it up lol.

I have a massive bag of jewelry to sell, I will put it all into two jars and sell it that way. Lots of wearable items also some broken bits for crafting. It is also time to take in all the scrap gold and silver to sell.

We finally finished this puzzle, it was a challenge.  Glad to have the dining room table back!
Hubby surprised me for Valentines yesterday with some Chocolates and a scratch ticket...he knows the way to my heart. The ticket was 20.00 and I won 20.00, so that was nice.

Been puttering around the house today, dishes , laundry and foofing here and there. Found some more jewelry in the basement and got that put away.

Hope you all are safe and warm wherever you are.
Until Next Time....

-45 C and Puttering

Like most of Canada we have been hit with some cold weather. Rain one day and wind and cold the next. The coldest so far has been -45 C, no idea what it was with the wind chill, but at that temp. it doesn't really matter. The coldest I have ever experienced was -52 C (without the wind chill) several years ago, I even made it to work!
I have been staying home as much as possible and puttering around. I have gotten so much done, added to the ever growing donation pile as usual. I will resume selling on Facebook once the weather warms up. We did manage to get the Christmas storage room all sorted out, ended up with two empty shelving units!!  We are waiting on the weather to move up a bedroom set from the basement spare room to the garage. I will be selling it on Facebook. I had thought about taking it to a Auction, but too much work to load in the trailer and drag around.
We went to town on the weekend for much needed groceries, and stopped at the local monthly market. I picked up a few things.
Red Rose tea mini figurines. There a few little chips, but I don't mind :) paid 1.00 for all five of them. I now have 72 different ones and piles of doubles and triples. Not bad for a passive collection.

This is a large brooch/pendant. I have several pieces of this style of petit point jewelry. Bought this from the same seller with the above figurines. I paid up for this, 4.00.

The seller of this Turtle pendant and chain said it was Alpaca Silver and Turquoise stone. Not sure about the stone, I did the nail polish remover/cotton swab test to the back of it and there was no colour change to the cotton swab, and I can feel ridges on the ''stone''. I have a hard time believing the maker would glue in a real stone. So who knows lol, either way it is pretty. Any thoughts?? I had to put a clasp on the chain. Paid 2.00
long gold tone chain with brown rock lol. paid 2.00
It was a cold day -28 C so was a very quick trip to the market and to the grocery store. The freezer and cupboards are full again.

Until Next Time....
Stay Warm!!!!
