Christmas 2018 Home Display

Yesterday I shared some of the Christmas crafting I have been doing. Wanted to show how I displayed the ceramic Santa's this year. I usually have the coffee bar in this area but wanted a bigger place to do a display, so moved some stuff around the kitchen.

There on the right is the smaller of the two Santa's surrounded by lot's of Vintage ornaments. I bought the ceramic wreath last year on a FB auction site. Right after the auction was over I received a message from a person offering 3 times what I paid for it. I thought it was odd when she could have just kept bidding. Its a keeper, so I never even responded to her. I like to use books to add some height to the display. Boxes also work great for this.

See the Santa on the lower right? There is a half burnt candle inside of it that I can't get out, so stuck a Vintage flower pick on the top of his head. The Santa tucking the kids into bed lamp is not Vintage, but looks so nice when lite up. I think I will set it on a book, it looks a little low.

I used a set of multi-colored battery operated lights on the tree, they are super handy with a 6 hour timer. I have them all over the house. I picked up the little tree skirt at the $ Store....don't get me started, same as the Dollar Tree...nothing is 1.00 in either stores!!
The vintage ornaments are a little large for the tree, but I do not care, they make me smile :)

I have to trim the "snow" batting still, looks better with not such a sharp line. Tucked under the batting along the front is another string of lights, this time clear. This whole area just glows.
